Message :Where should i start in trying to diagnose these two problems: heat rising on interstate and the 3700 rpms on the interestate at 80 mph. Also is 15 mpg normal regardless on city or highway? What could cause this?

Overheating Issue:

When did you last flush your cooling system? How old is the coolant? Have you pressure tested your radiator cap? Inspected the hoses for pinhole leaks? Checked the radiator itself for bent fins or obstructions or cracked end tanks?

High RPMs & Shitty Mileage

I agree with Guapo on this one...I'd suspect your clutch is slipping under the load. It's easy to test: get the car up to about 20mph, then put it in 4th gear and floor it. It should bog down...but if the RPMs spin up, you'll know you have a problem. It could just be out of adjustment, or it could be a worn out disk.

The wheels on the bus go up and down...
